Zone Vision’s European Movie Channel Licenses 29 Feature Films from the French Supplier for its Feeds in Poland and Hungary
Zone Vision Networks has completed a licensing agreement with TF1 International for its European movie channel Europa Europa. Under the terms of the agreement, the channel will gain rights to 29 feature films from the TF1 International catalogue for its Eastern European feed, serving Poland and Hungary. The announcement was made today by Alina Florea, Head of Programme Acquistions, Europa Europa.
The films will begin premiering later this year and into 2006. Among the titles in thepackage are:
• “Casino” (1995) – Directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Robert DeNiro.
• “Carne Tremula” (1997) – Directed by Pedro Almodovar and starring Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem
• “Little Buddha” (1993) – Directed by Bernardo Bertolucci and starring Bridget Fonda and Keanu Reeves
• “Muriel’s Wedding” (1994) – Directed by PJ Hogan and starring Toni Collette and Bill Hunter
• “The Piano” (1992) – Directed by Jane Campion and starring Harvey Keitel and Holly Hunter
Europa Europa first launched in Central Europe in 1999 and is now available to 6 million subscribers throughout Europe and South America. The channel features a blend of contemporary films, influential classics, acclaimed favorites and avant-garde
productions. The channel brings together the most significant filmmaking nations and presents the productions of its best directors and actors.
