Diva of the Darkside Emily Booth will be putting the frighteners on UK horror fans in her new role presenting for TV channel Zone Horror.
Booth will host the channel’s daily coverage from this year’s Frightfest film festival, held in London over the upcoming August Bank Holiday Weekend. She’ll cover a number of special events for the channel and her dangerously dulcet tones will become familiar to viewers as the channel’s new continuity announcer.
The actress is a well known cult TV and film personality and an avid supporter of the British horror industry. She says: “Horror runs through the very blood in my veins. Horror is a thrillseeker’s ride. It’s also the most creative and dynamic film genre out there.
“I’m so incredibly excited to be working for Zone Horror. It’s a fantastic channel because it’s run by fans for fans. It’s also trying to open up the genre to anyone who’s interested in it. I like that it has a sense of humour which is really refreshing, but it also takes its horror seriously.”
